A fieldhouse full of awesome stuff
A flea market at it’s best is the discerning scavenger’s paradise. To varying degrees, Tacoma does enjoy collections of vendors that could regularly qualify as flea markets of sorts (the South Tacoma swap meet, Farmer’s Markets), but none really compare with the grandmother of them all. A dedicated group of ladies have made one particular flea market a much-anticipated annual event in Tacoma since 1968 and it just keeps getting better.
Get ready to descend on the Women’s League at the University of Puget Sound’s 46th annual Flea Market (also known as the Fieldhouse Full of Awesome Stuff) March 22, 9 am – 4 pm. This event is both a treasure hunt and a fundraiser, your $5 admission supports student scholarships.
The Women’s League isn’t kidding about that “awesome stuff” part; all the vendors boast enticing finds, offering everything from antiques to oatmeal cookies, but there are a few local stand-outs. Make sure you swing by the following vendors and check out their excellent offerings:
