Colossal Soul makes holiday magic through music
Over sixty people made Opera Alley’s B Sharp Coffee House a cozy home full of holiday cheer, listening to local musicians pour their hearts into beautiful renditions of Christmas standards.
The event was made all the more festive thanks to Nearsighted Narwhal who helped provide decorations.
The all-star performers consisted of William Jordan, Michael Hochstatter and Kevin Poleskie of The Cloves, James Coates, Nyoka, Andy Wambem and Mark Alvis of The Owl Parliament, cellist Micaela Cooley, violinist Natalie Meek, Jacob Loden and Jonah Oh of The Fisherman’s Daughter, Anna Gutierrez of Singin’ Sisters and Alessandra Rose.
Tacoma singer Nyoka stole the show with her breathtaking rendition of O Holy Night / Hallelujah.
L’Arche Tahoma Hope Community members joined the performers to sing Silent Night to close the show together. It was a meaningful evening, highlighting the talents of L’Arche members and their supporters in the music community.
The mission of L’Arche is: to make known the gifts of people with developmental disabilities, revealed through mutually transforming relationships; yo foster an environment in community that responds to the changing needs of our members, while being faithful to the core values of our founding story; and to engage in our diverse cultures, working together toward a more human society.
