Congratulations to our Favorites, the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee

Post Defiance won’t shy away from our obsessions and has been known to promulgate them with some alarming regularity (1022 South and King’s Books obviously being near constant targets). But today we wanted to extend some very special congratulations and thanks to local blogster and craftster extraordinaire Laurie Cinotto (whom I think we have only featured like 12 times) and her husband Craig Miller.

Laurie and Craig’s universally adored kitten blog–promoting not only the sweetness but also the homelessness of Humane Society kittens–just celebrated a distinctive (albeit internet-specific) anniversary.

On May 30th, the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee shared its epic 2,000 post, a landmark for any website but especially poignant for this beautiful blog that chronicles, through Laurie’s gorgeous photography, the misadventures of batches of adorable orphaned kittens.

Laurie and Craig foster these kittens in their home until they’re ready to be adopted through the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County.

The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee has been a foster home for more than 100 kittens, all flaunting distinctive first and last names (Thurston Easterbrook, Claudius Felix Batsel, and Opal McGillicuddy to name a few), an impressive fan base, and ultimately, a safe and loving home.

Lets all raise a saucer of milk in congratulations to this very worthy and very appreciated bastion of kitten cuteness and warm fuzzies: cheers to the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee!

If you’ve never dared to wade into the cuddle-filled waters of endless charm that is the IBKC, the 2,000th post is an excellent starting point. Get in there and love on some kitties.
