Celebrate with Post Defiance at our annual Winter Reading

winter_reading_004Post Defiance is thrilled to once again partner with our generous hosts, the Raisl family, and celebrate the season with our fourth annual Winter Reading.

This living room event brings together friends and strangers to share original and published works inspired by the season (a little like a salon, a little like NPR’s Selected Shorts).

We have room for an audience of about 40 and a program of about 20 readings.

If you would like to attend and/or read at the event, please rsvp Katy at or post to our Facebook event page. Tell us the selection you’d like to read and we’ll do our best to accommodate all who wish to participate.

Once you’ve rsvped, we will send you location details. Please bring a beverage or snack to share.winter_reading_002

As you can see from our 20142013, and 2012 readings, the stories and poems read aloud can range from the comedic, to the tragic, to the heartwarming, to the eerie.

The only rules are that each reading somehow includes the theme of winter, and a selection can be read out loud in about five minutes. Can’t wait to toast winter with you!
